He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society of Lasers in medicine and Surgery. He is a member of the American Medical Association, California Medical Association, and Santa Clara County Medical Association. He is the dermatologist to the San Jose Sharks National Hockey League Team and dermatologist to the visiting artists at the San Jose Arena. He was the Dermatologist for the 1999 Women's Soccer World Cup Championships. He is a frequent lecturer for the American Cancer Society and to the Graduate Program in Human Performance at San Jose State University. Dr. Bitter Jr., is the developer of the FotoFacial™ and PhotoFacial™procedures that use pulsed light to treat rosacea, flushing, facial redness and to enhance the appearance of sun-damaged skin. FotoFacial™is an innovative, non-invasive procedure that is fast becoming the most talked about cosmetic procedure in the world. Dr Bitter has lectured to physicians nationally and internationally and appeared on television numerous times discussing the FotoFacial™procedure. He is the director of the FotoFacial™ Advanced Training Course, teaching doctors from around the world how to perform the FotoFacial™ procedure successfully. In addition to the FotoFacial™procedure, Dr Bitter's other areas of expertise include skin cancer surgery, laser resurfacing, chemical peeling, leg vein treatments and tumescent liposuction. Dr. Bitter Jr., is an avid athlete and has competed in more than seventy-five triathlons over eighteen years. He is a two-time finisher of the Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon and is the 1997 U.S. Triathlon Masters National Champion. |
